The Chiredzi River Conservancy is located in Zimbabwe’s southeastern lowveld scrublands. This area, formed in the 1987, is one of the largest game areas in the world. Having been restocked with wildlife upon creation, the area is host to an abundance of species, which are under a constant threat from poachers. The environment is also harsh as this area of Zimbabwe endures severe drought, making it unsuitable for agriculture. Our efforts, along with the arrest of poachers and cleanup of snares, include the constant strife to bring about the importance of wildlife to Zimbabwean culture.
